Your Experience begins with a short introduction from Roger, one of the most experienced Gyrocopter pilots in Europe, into how the Gyroplane flies, about how the controls work – and an all-important safety brief. Flying suits and helmets will be supplied. During the flight, all the controls will be demonstrated to you and you will then be invited to take the controls and fly the Gyroplane – and if you’re happy, it’s ‘yours’ for the rest of the flight. (Obviously the aircraft has dual controls, so your instructor can take over at any time during the flight)

You will be flying over some of the most breath-taking scenery in the English Lake District. Our airstrip at Berrier (which its self has fantastic views!!) is only five minutes flying time away from both Ullswater and Derwentwater and all other Lakes are well within range, weather conditions permitting. There is also the beautiful Eden Valley and Hadrian’s Wall on our ‘doorstep’.

Whether you want the experience the exhilaration of being in control, or you just want the instructor to fly for much of the time, leaving you free to take in the beautiful countryside around and even take some photos – it’s entirely up to you! This is definitely a flying experience with a difference.
